I was just wondering if anyone out there knew if you are at a higher risk of having a premature baby is you were premature yourself? I know I am at a slight risk of having a premature birth because I am a bit overweight, but I was also born a little over three weeks early, so I’m curious. I haven’t mentioned that to my OB yet, as it never really crossed my mind until I seen a commercial on TV about premature birth. I plan on talking to him about it, but my next appointment isn’t for a few more weeks. Just wondering if anyone might have any ideas?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I don’t think there is much correlation between your mothers Preterm deliveries and yours (unless your mom has a bicornuate uterus and you do too, but unlikely). 37 weeks is considered term so it sounds like you were pretty darned close to that. I wouldn’t be losing much sleep over this, but mention it to your doc to put your mind at ease.
