Nowadays, children are very aggressive and I’m scared how will the world be when they become adults. I wonder if we stand a change in their world, where every conflict is
resolved with threats, cursing, uppercuts. It’s not my intention to create an apocalyptic vision cause it already exists. Look kinder gardens, schools and highschools. Aren’t you scared of what your kids tell you? Oh, ofcourse, you don’t have time to talk to them..sorry. You are too busy thinking at your own future, but what will happen with the one who will create tomorrow - the kid?! It is known every kid is aggresive sometimes. It’s known for a fact that those under age of four are the most aggresive creatures on the planet - bite, punch, kick, push, throw with objects- because they are frustrated of their lack of ability to control the environment and their own actions, they don’t have the power or the ability to say loud and clear what they want. But, just because this is considered normal for this age, doesn’t mean you have to just let it like that! Even from this age, we have to help our kids to learn how to control their emotions different from animals. But what do we do? We have fun and answer in the same way (verbal/physical aggresivity) and then we are amazed we have aggresive kids, who always get complains from their garden or school.
When the children is malfunctioning and kick, push, curse, hurt the others, take care to:
- act immediatly - tell him on a severe tone - ‘no biting/kicking/etc’ abd under no circumstance, don’t hit him, don’t react in the same way, because you will only make his behavior to get worse
- take a break - on a chair or in his room (not behind closed doors, tough), to make him think what he did wrong. Eventually, you take away a right from him - his favourite tv show for example
